    Description

    Offered here is a full uncirculated  example of an original 1783 Treaty of Paris tin medal. With the copper plug inserted at the mint prior to striking to retard that notorious tin pest. It worked well with no sign of tin pest after more than 230 years. My second example, and this one has minor rim problems, most of which are mint caused. Looks to have been struck out of collar. Still a medal that looks great. I could write a description, but the last 2 scans are from Betts book and describe the medal better than I. My only comment is it is rare especially in this condition. I have only seen an inferior example for sale here at 5. Mine is a higher grade and a lot less. See the scans. U.S, shipping is free. Paypal preferred or your check.
