Vehicle Details
I had planned to make a ramp bed/flatbed/dovetail hauler out of this thing, but I just have too many projects and not enough time. This is an old Cattle truck I purchased from a local farmer. He told me he parked it many years ago due to "brake issues". I have not investigated the brakes further than that, but I am selling it as is in need of unknown brake work, as well as other issues. I do have the motor running and it sounds great. It's a 330 Gas with 2 bbl carb and 4 speed trans. It has a single speed rear axle. The motor has no abnormal rattles, smoke, knocks, or leaks. It currently will not move under its own power due to the clutch not disengaging when you push the clutch pedal down. Without being able to disengage the clutch, you can't shift it into gear with the motor running. I have found the clutch master cylinder to be leaking, so I would assume it needs a clutch master cylinder at least. If that were replaced and bled, it would "probably" shift into gear with the motor running and move under its own power. Again, it will not drive right now due to the clutch not disengaging when you step on the clutch pedal. You can shift it into each gear as well as reverse with the motor off; and if you "bump" the starter, it will "lurch" in that direction, so all indications are that the transmission is ok. Body is mostly complete. The body related issues I know of include: busted drivers door window, cracked windshield on one side, some of the clearance lenses on top of the cab are broken or missing, and there there is some rust in the very bottom of the "step" on each side where you step up into the cab. I cannot guarantee anything about this vehicle. I'm only describing it in full to the best of my ability. It is being sold as is. This vehicle is not roadworthy and you cannot drive it home. It is located in Greeneville, TN. No shipping is available. I can help load. I would estimate the weight of it to be somewhere between 8-10,000 lbs. A good 20' or bigger deckover trailer should fit it. Feel free to ask me any questions or for more pics. I have a video of it running. If I can, I'll upload it.
