    Description

    Office of Inspector General (OIG) for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).  This patch is for a United States “Special Agent.”
    Founded in 1933, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation is one of two agencies that provide deposit insurance to depositors in
    U.S.
    depository institutions, the other being the National Credit Union Administration, which regulates and insures credit unions.
    I don’t know much about this patch other than I have had it for many years.  In checking, it looks as if there had been some reorganization and this specific patch is no longer used.
    A nice find for those who collect Federal patches or badge shaped patches.
    This patch is like new, clean and fresh.  It is not a uniform take off, and has never been sewn on.
