Redfield International Smallbore globe sight.  The International globe model was completely revised and unveiled to shooters in 1965.  The updated design continued to allow for top loading insertion of the insert, but improved upon the old design by fully enclosing the insert to prevent any light leakage through insertion point.  This sight is fully functional, but does have a condition issue.  These were aluminum alloy and sensitive to any flexion of the front section.  It is common to find examples that have developed a hairline crack where the insert sleeve threads start, and that crack can be found on this sight.  Invisible from the outside, these cracks are best seen from the inside of the tube.  Sadly, most sellers don't disclose this information to buyers.
There are three original (plastic) inserts included with the sight, but each also has a flaw.  The 0.105” insert has a hairline crack in the horizontal bar, the 0.120” insert has a hairline crack in the outer ring, and the post has a missing ear and the other ear is ready to drop.  Later inserts were made out of steel to address this issue.
