    Description

    This is a very special MASTER pedestal glass open salt or salt cellar.  It is shown as Open Salt #3601 in "5,000 Open Salts  A Collector's Guide" by Heacock and Johnson.  They indicate it is in the HARP Pattern by Bryce, Richards & Co., circa 1860's.
    This piece measures about 3-1/4 inches in diameter across the top and stands about 2 inches tall. It has one 3/8" chip on the top outer rim, and four chips on the underside of the outer rim.  Still a very nice piece.  The Rarity & Price Guide lists this piece as Scarce.  Please see photographs for details.
